Blog stage 7 The craziness behind Ndaa legislation and why we should pay attention

The NDAA bill or national defense authorization act was passed by Obama, this new law repeal the Posse Comitatis act of 1878, which disallowed govt. troops from policing the streets. When questioned about the inclusion of American citizens in the bill, Senator Lindsey Graham responded, “The homeland is part of the battlefield and people can be held without trial, whether or not an American citizen or not.” This completely renders the bill of rights pointless. This isn’t the America they taught me about in middle school. The constitution reads,” No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a Grand Jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the militia, when in actual service in time of war or public danger. “So whats happened now is the U.S has been declared a war zone, which means that the U.S Govt. can hold you indefinitely without a trial or evidence of a crime being commited. Section 1031 of the newly passed law reads,” "A covered person under this section" includes "any person who has committed a belligerent act". So belligerent acts now justifies the implementation of the same level of force used to combat terrorists.  What I think is, Obama can recognize the momentum and energy gaining within the U.S’s youth movements, hacker communities, and militias, who oppose the unlawful stripping of our rights, and their influence and power scare him. The Occupy movement just now has even been named a low level terrorist organization, along with others such as tea party members, protesters and even Oath keepers. Wher does the encroachment upon our rights as citizens of this nation end? Abe Lincoln said,” Don't interfere with anything in the Constitution. That must be maintained, for it is the only safeguard of our liberties.” Last time I checked Presidents’ were servants to the people. Enacting martial law is illegal on so many different levels.  With ndaa in place, you might as well rip any pages concerning your constitutional rights directly out of your text book, number 1, 2,4,5,6, 7, and 8 are now obsolete. Obama took an oath to uphold and defend this document, does that mean anything at all. Even proposing the ndaa bill in its current state was treason, now our president has passed it as a law. He never was too keen on the constitution anyway…“I think we can say that, ah ah, the Constitution reflected an enormous blind spot in this culture that carries on to this day and ah that ah the Framers had that same blind spot. I, I don’t think the two views are contradictory to say that it was a remarkable political document, ah, that paved the way for where we are now, and to say it also reflected the fundamental flaw of this country that continues to this day.”- President Barrack Hussein Obama. Right now we should be Osama is gone, and we haven’t seen an attack in years. The ndaa law was passed as means of suppressing crowds, and to imprison, or who knows maybe even assassinate people who get in the way.  There’s just no other explanation for the sudden grab for power, no servant of the people would allow such a law to be passed. Obama promised he’d close Gitmo, now I am to understand that he has the right to incarcerate even American citizens for the rest of their lives without giving justification. Now why on earth would a leader of a true free republic ever need such powers, I guess were back to the McCarthy era.    I’ve always hated sitting in a room full of people getting in heated discussions over New World Order, but kind of encroachment upon our rights concerns me and it should concern you.

I agree with Hello World. The U.S drug policy's were written in order to oppress minority's during the 1930's.

The war on drugs is an even bigger failure than prohibition, in my neighborhood, you'l be offered crack at least twice before you can walk to the store for a beer. Why not take all the money that goes into the war on drugs , and put it into education, and free treatment facility's for those who WANT to kick. You can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink. Whats funny is that no one gets sober in prison, they can get anything they want in ther. Prisons are a multi- billion dollar buissiness in this country, ther's no reason privatized companies should be making money off the enslavement of it's fellow citizens, its preposterous. Almost everyone over the age of 12 smokes pot these days, you cant put all the youth in jail. You can fool some people sometimes
